CHAMBER-LED DELEGATION CHAMPIONS SAN DIEGO REGION PRIORITIES IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
More than 170 business and civic leaders from San Diego region to advocate for infrastructure, trade, healthcare, workforce development, sustainability
SAN DIEGO (April 16, 2023) – The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, City of San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, and San Diego County Board of Supervisors Chair Nora Vargas will be holding a press conference in Washington, D.C. on Monday, April 17at 7:30 AM PST. The conference will be streamed live for media outlets here.
WHAT:
A group of more than 170 business and civic leaders—the largest to date—from the San Diego region is headed to Washington, D.C. to advance issues critical to business growth, the creation of jobs, and the economy. It is the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 15th annual “Mission to Washington, D.C.” which brings delegates to the nation’s capital for three days beginning April 16.
A key priority for this year’s trip will be advocating for federal funding for regional infrastructure projects. The binational delegation will meet with federal government officials and agency representatives from a variety of departments including the EPA, Department of Transportation, Customs and Border Protection, Department of State, Housing and Urban Development, and several others. The delegation will share priorities around border infrastructure and staffing, coastal resilience, Community Development Block Grant funding, U.S.-Mexico Border Water Infrastructure Program, and many more key regional issues.

La relación entre México-Estados Unidos, la infraestructura fronteriza, los proyectos ambientales y la economía son temas prioritarios para la delegación viajando a CDMX
SAN DIEGO (20 de octubre de 2022) – La Cámara de Comercio Regional de San Diego y el alcalde de la ciudad de San Diego, Todd Gloria, realizarán una conferencia de prensa en la Ciudad de México el lunes 24 de octubre a las 8 a. m. PST. La conferencia se transmitirá en vivo para los medios de comunicación aquí.
Después de una pausa de dos años debido a la pandemia, la 15.ª Delegación Binacional anual de la Cámara de Comercio Regional de San Diego a la Ciudad de México regresa con una lista de prioridades para avanzar en la región fronteriza. Cerca de 100 líderes empresariales y comunitarios de San Diego y Baja California viajarán a la Ciudad de México para defender las relaciones entre Estados Unidos y México y para promover temas críticos para el éxito de la comunidad empresarial binacional.
A partir del domingo 23 de octubre y hasta el miércoles 26 de octubre, el grupo se reunirá con líderes y funcionarios gubernamentales mexicanos para fortalecer los lazos económicos y diplomáticos y para discutir oportunidades de colaboración en proyectos ambientales y de infraestructura fronteriza.
